Movable obstacle - DGV golf rules

A player may take the following relief from a moving obstacle without penalty:

(a) If the ball is not in or on the obstruction, the obstruction may be moved. If the ball moves, it must be put back and this is not penalized, provided that the movement of the ball is directly attributable to the movement of the obstacle. Otherwise, Rule 18-2a applies.

b) If the ball is in or on the obstacle, the ball may be picked up and the movable obstacle may be moved. The ball must be placed on the green as close as possible to the point immediately below where it lay in or on the hazard, not closer to the hole, terrain or hazard.

The ball may be cleaned up if it has been picked up in accordance with this rule. While a ball is in motion, an obstruction that could affect the movement of the ball may not be moved, except for the equipment of any player or the flagstick being operated, removed or held up. (Interference with the ball - see Law 1-2.)

Note: If a ball that is to be dropped or put down under this rule cannot be recovered immediately, another ball may be used.
