Golf club and golf course on Sylt / Westerland: The golf club was founded by the British occupying forces in 1953 as "the Royal Air Force Sylt Golf Club" on what was previously used as an airfield on Germany's most famous North Sea island. After the British left, the club was transformed into the Marine Golf Club e.V. in 1980. In 2006, the new 18-hole links course, now on new grounds, was opened with a length of almost 6300 meters and promises original links golf for the highest demands.
