Golf club and golf course in Münster: In 1963, private golfers from Münster succeeded in leasing a plot of land in the neighborhood of Wilkinghege Castle and building a 9-hole golf course with clubhouse and driving range on it. The golf oasis, located in typical Münsterland parkland, just outside the city gates, was then extended to 18 holes in 1987. Since 2001, the golf course has been in top condition at all times thanks to the new irrigation system.
