Golf club and golf course in Wuppertal: Willy Schniewind founded the Bergisch-Land Wuppertal e. V. golf club in 1928 and later became president of the German Golf Association himself. The English golf course architect Morrison designed the first nine holes as well as 4 further holes in 1958. The remaining 5 holes were designed by Bernhard von Limburger in 1963. Today's 18-hole course is one of the most difficult and challenging in Germany. Many slopes and heavily undulating greens require a great deal of precision in the long and short game.
