What tasks does the greenkeeper perform on the golf course in terms of correct golf behavior?
A greenkeeper is an official employee of a golf course and has the right to to intervene in the game and to control it if necessary. Breaches of the rules are not within the power of a greenkeeper on the golf course, but breaches of etiquette may and should be checked by a greenkeeper if possible and then reported to the secretary or the player personally pointed out to the offense. Proper golf behavior and greenkeepers have one thing in common. Both should be treated with great respect and should not be seen as a disruptive factor in the game of golf, but as an aid to the game.
